OBO 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL - V6 Automatic for sale in Durant, Oklahoma

This '96 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL is in good condition but does need some love. Although it is 16 years old, it is well built and if taken care of it will happily serve you for many years to come. It is a great car for a family or for simply commuting to work. HEATER & AC - The heater and AC work fine, so you are sure to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. One of the knobs fell off which turns the fan on and off, but it still works fine by pressing the metal part where the knob was. You can also control the fan and temperature from the steering wheel, which is really handy while driving so you can keep your eyes on the road. MUSIC & SPEAKERS - The car has an AM/FM radio which works great, but the antenna doesn't go up and down on its own like it's supposed to. The cassette player and CD player do not work, but the controls do for volume, bass, AM/FM scan, etc. work fine. You can even control the volume and channel from the steering wheel. The speakers work great, I don't know anything about sound or speakers, but they sound fine to me. The speakers are the original ones that came with the car, so sorry there is not special sound system, but I'm sure you could add one if you wanted to. ELECTRIC GOODIES - The door locks and windows are both electric. There is also a remote control to lock/unlock the doors and pop open the trunk. The remote is the original one and is getting a bit worn out but it still works (though sometimes it takes some effort so it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace it if you like that feature). The driver's side mirror is electric and has a control for it on the driver's side door next to the window and lock controls. The seats have power controls to adjust the seat the way you like it. The car is equipped with cruise control but I have never gotten it to work to date, so I am assuming the switch on the steering wheel is broken. LIGHTS - The car is equipped with fog lights and lights for the vanity mirrors, in addition to all the standard lights expected to on a car. However, the fog lights and two of the interior lights are burnt out. TIRES - The tires are in great condition and are fairly new. It also has alloy wheels.EXTERIOR - The car is a bright red. The paint is in decent condition though the car has some hail damage and some chips in the paint here and there. The windshield is fairly new and does not have any cracks or chips in it. INTERIOR - The car has a gray and black interior (mostly gray though). The seats are covered in vinyl material, and the ceiling has a fabric covering. The floors are carpeted and has all 4 original floor mats. The back seat has a fold down arm rest in the middle and the seats can be folded down for quick access to the trunk storage. Part of the driver's seat has some damage where a section of the vinyl was melted and the foam exposed, but it's taped so it doesn't cause any further problems. The front seats have black seat covers on them, but you can take them off if you don't like them. I also have a tinkerbell steering wheel cover, you can take that off too if you don't like it. There is a center console for stashing things you might need, but the cover broke off at the hinge so it can be tricky to get something in/out of there unless you have a hand free to hold onto the cover. The car also has a glove box which works great for holding papers and items you may need while on the go. TRUNK - The trunk is pretty big and is great for groceries or luggage. There is a temporary spare tire in the trunk in case you have a flat. PROBLEMS - The car has some issues starting, I believe the starter is going out or it's the neutral safety switch (but I'm not a mechanic so I don't know for sure). The car also needs the spark plugs and wires changed. The ABS light is on, I don't know what it means or what is wrong with it but I never noticed anything wrong with it while driving. Anyway, I'm including the repair manual which gives step-by-step instructions on what to do, though it helps greatly if you have some sort of background in car repairs so you can understand their terminology, etc. TAGS AND PLATES - The car has an Oklahoma license plate and the tag recently expired in October. The title is clear and ready to be signed over to you! HISTORY - Since I've owned the car I'm only aware of it having one accident - it was when my ex was driving it and a another vehicle ran a stop sign and hit the front of the car. The accident damaged the bumper, causing a crack in the bumper and in the turn signal light on the driver's side of the car, and it broke off the Oldsmobile emblem from the front of the car, but as the accident was minor the damage is nothing major and is hardly noticeable. WHY AM I SELLING IT? - This car has been a good and reliable friend. It has kept me and my family safe, and has been a great car overall. But these days with the economy, I can't afford to keep up with the repairs, maintenance, and insurance. So, I'm putting it up for sale so it can go to a good home where someone can afford to take care of it.
